About Shark Swimming School

Established in 2020, Shark Swim School has quickly gained a premium reputation for its impeccable approach to teaching. Today, the school employs 7 professional coaches who are experienced athletes and educators capable of teaching anyone from newborn to adult to swim. Our team inspires students to achieve their goals by creating a safe and motivating training environment. We take pride in helping people of all ages feel confident in the water and reach their potential. All programs are designed to develop not only technique, but also a love for the water.

With a personalized approach, flexible schedules and choice of locations, the school has earned extremely positive feedback from clients. Shark is more than just learning to swim, it is a philosophy of comfort, safety and the joy of movement in the water.

History of Shark Swimming School

The school that has a soul...

When Elizaveta Tanailova, the founder and inspirer of the school, first came to Phuket, she was of course fascinated by the beauty of the sea.... And then one day she heard an old legend from the locals. They said that in the waters off the coast of the island lived a good shark-protector. According to the legend, it appeared near those who were afraid of water, helped them to gain confidence and returned to the depths when a person began to swim confidently and freely. This story inspired Elizabeth to create a school that helps people overcome their fear of water and learn to feel like a fish in water - or, more specifically, like a shark. And so Shark School was born.

Today, the school continues to fulfill the spirit of the legend, with coaches helping students of all ages to gain courage, improve technique and enjoy swimming in complete safety.

I work primarily with children. I know how to incorporate swimming into a child's development from the earliest age: from the first months of life. I know how to build proper technique for those who have been swimming "all their lives". And I know much more :)

Eduard Baytemirov Head Coach, Methodologist "Swimming and teaching others to swim has been my childhood dream. Over the years, this dream has turned into a profession that allows me to help people discover new possibilities in water. I don't just teach technique — I show how swimming can become a source of confidence and inner strength."

Dmitriy Anchikov Senior Coach "For me, swimming is work, relaxation, and challenge all at once. Each student is a new story, a new experience. Results are important to me, but even more important is that students enjoy the process itself. Sometimes one smile after overcoming fear in the water means more than dozens of timed swims."

I work with babies from 2 months and older. Swimming for teenagers and adults. I have positive experience working with special needs children. Open water training is my specialty!

Good evening! I wanted to say a huge thank you for trainer Svetlana! We had our first lesson and we're incredibly delighted! It was an incredibly cool lesson - I've never seen my son so obedient and interested! She won the baby over right away! And the progress is colossal even from the trial lesson - he touched water with his face, started working with his legs, and began swimming horizontally (he used to only swim vertically in a life jacket like a float). In short, we're thrilled! You have an amazing trainer! Simply a star!
